SOS MEDITERRANEE is a European network dedicated to rescue at sea; created by citizens determined to take action in the face of the tragedy of repeated shipwrecks in the Mediterranean. Its teams have three missions: to save lives at sea, protect those who survive, and raise public awareness of the humanitarian emergency in the central Mediterranean.
SOS MEDITERRANEE charters the ambulance vessel the OCEAN VIKING to provide assistance to boats in distress. The network is present in France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
