About

Robinson College provides an environment for education, learning and research. It is the newest College, one of 31, within the University of Cambridge. It was founded in 1977, with a donation by the entrepreneur and philanthropist Sir David Robinson, and formally opened in 1981. It has 100 Fellows, and around 380 undergraduate and 300 postgraduate students.

Our distinctive and Grade 2* listed redbrick building offers a modern environment for living and working. Robinson is an independent institution which has taught and inspired generations of students who have gone on to make significant contributions to society. With academic values as its core concern, the College aims to foster a community of freedom of thought and expression in which all its members can flourish.
