Since 2003, the schooner Tara, has travelled the oceans of the world to study and understand the ocean and the impact of climate change on this ecosystem. Onshore, the Tara Foundation, recognized as a non-profit organization in France and dedicated to the Ocean, organizes scientific missions, implements educational programs for schools and conducts advocacy activities to raise awareness among the general public.
