The association’s main purpose is to develop cultural, educational, social, sporting and artistic activities of general interest in Paris, the Ile de France and more widely throughout France. These activities are open to all and work to raise the profile of the Jewish community and promote dialogue within it, the development of modern Judaism and the establishment of relations with the various components of French society.
IMPORTANT:
At Judaïsme en Mouvement, the largest (modern ) Jewish community in France, we make a distinction between activities linked to worship (JEM 05, the law governing worship dating from 1905) and JEM 01 (which require approval). JEM 01 is governed by the law of 1901 relating to cultural, philathropic and social associations.( non profits)
None of the funds raised by JEM 01 are used for religious purposes.
