The purpose of the Association des Veneurs is to:
– to establish bonds of solidarity, understanding and goodwill between all practitioners and supporters of hound hunting ;
– to ensure relations between them and the associations more specifically responsible for defending them, in particular the Société de Vènerie and the Association des Equipages ;
– to represent the members of the Association in dealings with public authorities, hunting management bodies and the media ;
– to educate the members of the Association in the knowledge and protection of nature and wildlife;
– to disseminate to the members of the Association the traditions and rules of hunting with hounds and to ensure that they are respected ;
– to provide members of the Association with any information relating to the practice of hunting with hounds ;
– to promote and defend by all means the practice of hunting with hounds.
