The Fund aims to safeguard, preserve and sustainably keep alive the tangible and intangible heritage of the Picpus Congregation.
In particular, the Fund focuses on the preservation, documentation, accessibility and transmission of the cultural and built heritage linked to the life, work, and historical, human and societal significance of Father Damien, a 19th century Belgian missionary.
To this end, the Fund may support initiatives in the fields of research, conservation, archiving, public outreach, education and valorisation, with the aim of making this heritage accessible and relevant for present and future generations.
