Education is the Key e.V.

The primary purpose of Education is the Key e.V. is to promote and advance education by providing both moral and financial support to educational institutions in Kenya. The association is committed to improving access to quality education, particularly for children in underserved communities, and views education as a fundamental driver of personal development and long-term opportunity.

In accordance with its statutes, the organisation fulfils this purpose by supporting existing schools, supplying teaching and learning materials, and fostering educational development on the ground. A key element of its work is the allocation of funds to partner institutions in Kenya, ensuring that resources directly benefit local educational structures. Through these efforts, the association seeks to create sustainable improvements in local educational access and quality, ultimately empowering children and small, isolated communities for the future which are often left alone by the Kenyan government. Our vision is that the children of these communities have the chance to learn to take advantage of their local resources at hand which can make them grown strong and independent, thus being able to build their own future.

Our association is guided by the belief that, as Nelson Mandela once said, “education is the most powerful tool to change the world”, and we are dedicated to contribute to this reality through our work. We need to begin from the very start: with the children, and therefore by starting to build their schools.
