The Child and Adolescent Center (C.A.C.) is a Civil Non-Profit Organization founded in March 1996 and based in Chios, Greece.
Since November 2005, the C.A.C. has been officially certified as a Specialized Provider of Social Care Services (Certification No. 1314AEN11097068N/0231), following a decision by the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Solidarity (Government Gazette 1453/Β/21-10-2005).
The Child and Adolescent Center operates in full compliance with current legislation and all applicable regulations concerning the protection of personal data in the fields in which it is active.
The mission of the C.A.C. is to develop and provide mental health services in the spirit of social and community psychiatry. Its work includes prevention, early diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, research, the design and implementation of public health programs, as well as community education and awareness initiatives. In parallel, the Center aims to design and implement educational and training programs for professionals and specialists in the fields of Mental Health and Special Education.
The C.A.C.’s multidisciplinary teams include the following professionals: child and adolescent psychiatrist, psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, speech and language therapist, occupational therapist, music therapist, special education teacher, adapted physical education instructor, early childhood educator, psychologist and vocational guidance counselor, and nurse.
The Center’s operations are further supported by administrative staff, an accountant, a legal advisor, and general support personnel.
