About

Founded in 2019 on the initiative of botanist Francis Hallé, a world-renowned tree and forest specialist, our association aims to enable the rebirth of a new, freely evolving European natural forest area. This area will be a common good passed on to future generations, a place for scientific research, territorial development and international cooperation.
The association has several objectives:
– To contribute to environmental preservation and the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss;
– To act as a catalyst for research development;
– To create a space for regional development and citizenship.
The Francis Hallé Association for a primeval forest is recognised as being of general environmental interest and has around 4,000 members.
