The treatment of cardiovascular diseases is the primary objective of the ADS’s mandate, encompassing various areas such as cardiology training, heart disease screening, cardiac surgery training, the provision of medical and surgical equipment, and surgical procedures.
ADS has been active in Laos since 1998. The project’s strategic partner is the Lao Ministry of Health, under whose authority the Lao-Luxembourg Heart Institute (ILLC) operates.
The ILLC is a leading medical facility in Laos, dedicated to providing specialized care for heart disease. Its 95% occupancy rate underscores the need to maintain this medical center, which is the only cardiac surgery center in Laos.
