The Australian Music Foundation exists to help exceptionally talented young Australian classical musicians fulfil their educational and professional potential, regardless of financial circumstances. We support their development from specialist secondary-level training through to advanced international study, helping to cultivate the next generation of Australian performers, educators and cultural leaders.
In 2026, we also launched our inaugural First Nations Awards, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander secondary students studying classical music in Australia. This programme broadens access to specialist music education through financial assistance, mentoring and career guidance.
For more than 50 years, our purpose has been to ensure that exceptional musical ability can be developed through education outside of Australia, regardless of financial circumstances.
