Geld für die Welt e.V. (Wealth for the World)

Geld für die Welt e.V. is a German charitable donation fund. Our primary purpose is to make the greatest possible contribution to solving global challenges, in particular extreme poverty and related humanitarian problems.
To achieve this, we pool donations in a fund that is invested passively in globally diversified ETFs. Each year, a fixed share of the fund (currently 2% of assets) is granted to carefully selected charitable partner organisations that implement demonstrably highly effective programmes in areas such as global health and poverty alleviation. The payout rate is chosen to maximise the total amount that can be donated over the long term.
We are recognised as a non‑profit, politically independent organisation. 100% of donations to the fund are added to the fund’s assets; all operating costs are covered separately by earmarked “operations” donations. We commit to high standards of transparency (including detailed annual reports and full disclosure of income, expenses and grants) and base the selection of our partner organisations on independent, evidence‑based effectiveness research.
