erda was founded by Laurence Equilbey, artistic director.
erda comprises two independent divisions: a vocal division centered around the accentus Choir, and an orchestral division centered around Insula orchestra.
The association’s mission is to promote the vocal repertoire—whether a cappella, with instruments, or with an orchestra—including both classical and contemporary works, as well as
the orchestral repertoire performed on period instruments. It also aims to promote professional soloists and support the professional development of student singers and instrumentalists.
The association thus promotes the creation and dissemination of works from the established repertoire as well as new compositions, educational programs for singers, instrumentalists, conductors, composers, amateur musicians, and the general public, as well as research aimed at exploring all musical repertoires. It also carries out cultural and educational initiatives throughout the regions where it operates and extends its influence.
