The primary purpose of the organisation is to own, operate and preserve the Maison de Tante Léonie – Musée Marcel Proust, located in Illiers-Combray, Marcel Proust’s childhood home and the only museum entirely dedicated to his life and work.
More generally, the organisation’s mission is to promote the memory, study and dissemination of Marcel Proust’s literary legacy, by supporting research, publications and cultural activities in France and abroad, with the museum as the core of its public-interest mission.
