Fonds de Dotation Georgia Tech-Lorraine

The purpose of the endowment fund is to receive and manage, by capitalizing them, property and rights of any kind that are brought to it free of charge and irrevocably.
It allocates the income of said property and rights to the financing and realization by GEORGIA TECH LORRAINE, non-profit organization, of missions of general interest in the field of teaching and research.
It may also allocate all or part of its endowment to the financing of missions of general interest by GEORGIA TECH LORRAINE, and if their authors consent, it may allocate all or part of the donations and legacies composing its endowment to the financing of missions of general interest developed by GEORGIA TECH LORRAINE.
The missions thus developed by GEORGIA TECH LORRAINE and financed by the Fund fall into the following areas:
1. Teaching
It is a high-level higher education with an international component, in the scientific and high-tech fields, particularly in electrical, mechanical and computer engineering.
The contribution by the fund to the financing of education may take the form of the awarding of scholarships to students, and/or the recruitment of teacher-researchers, or any other form of support for the pedagogical mission.
The teachings are intended for an academic approach, in the logic of the teachings provided by the American University Georgia Institute of Technology, public university of the State of Georgia, in order to provide students with a state-of-the-art teaching of knowledge (fundamental research in the scientific fields of reference).
2. Research
In this spirit, the fund may be called upon to intervene in the financing of human or material resources necessary for research in respect of non-economic activities.

3. Other activities of general interest
In this context, the Fund may support initiatives or structures that pursue an aim of general interest in the scientific field of reference.

Since its creation, the GTL Fund has not had sufficient donations to be able to finance projects such as student grants or infrastructure improvements, for example. This 2022 year, we are asking for a tax exemption measure for donations because we are launching a donation campaign that is part of the Fund’s strategic development plan. Through this campaign, we have already identified generous European donors that we hope to solicit.
