Urban Product (UP) is convinced that there are a multitude of brilliant and committed people and organizations who have implemented very useful sustainable solutions to meet the global challenges. At the same time, UP notes that these products and services do not reach
a large part of the population, thus limiting their social impact. UP therefore gives itself as
mission to be a social incubator aimed at the “redistribution of sustainable solutions”. To
do so, UP wants to decompartmentalize sectors and approaches to making
the principle of “leave no one behind” a reality in Belgium and elsewhere
Concretely, UP has launched the UP Energise project, with Energise Cameroon as pilot, which
wants to strengthen accessibility in Cameroon to sources of green and reliable energy, a lever for
socio-economic development. To achieve this, UP creates bridges between initiatives
carried by the diaspora and citizens wishing to contribute to a form of fair energy yet to be invented.
