The Fettes Foundation was founded in 1998, in Edinburgh, to raise philanthropic funds for the benefit of Fettes College and its pupils. The culture of philanthropy at Fettes extends to its very beginnings when Sir William Fettes had the foresight to leave a bequest in his will for the education, maintenance and outfit of young people. Across generations, Fettes has continued to benefit from support from members of the global Fettes community. Since the Fettes Foundation’s inception hundreds of young people have benefited from bursary support/financial aid to attend Fettes; an impressive array of
teaching spaces and sporting facilities have been built or upgraded and many activities at Fettes have been made possible as a result of philanthropic donations from generous members of our community. We are incredibly grateful for the support we
receive.
