Surgir is a feminist organization committed against gender violence. We reject the logic of domination and power that underlies gender violence and discriminates against certain social groups. We aspire to a world where every person is free to live in peace with respect for their identity and environment.
Our Mission :Acting as a network to combat gender-based violence and transform the logic of power that underlies it . We campaign to reduce gender-based injustices and discrimination. We fight against the logic of power, including patriarchy and racism, that promote violence, discrimination against certain social groups and the destruction of our ecosystems. We aim to transform the power relations at work in the various forms of oppression and discrimination suffered by minority groups on the basis of gender, sexual and emotional orientation, racial assignment, religion and other identity markers.
