The association aims to :
– The preservation of an exceptional heritage, the replica of the Hermione, the 18th century frigate of the French Navy, on which La Fayette embarked in 1780 to announce to Georges Washington France’s military commitment to American independence.
– Its cultural and tourist development, its maintenance in seaworthy conditions and the implementation of navigation programmes with a strong historical and cultural content in order to maintain the status of French Ambassador ship.
– The implementation of training and integration actions, its mobilization at the service of major social and societal issues (see full object in the statutes of the Association)
