Venice is a «world city»: by reinventing the way we live there, we can demonstrate that alternatives exist and are able to influence other cities in the world with concrete results.
We are fully aware of the worst scenario that humanity and the planet are facing today, we strongly want to create a better way of living for future generations, and we strongly believe that this will be made possible by leveraging the incredible power of «the living beings» on Earth (biomimicry, etc).
Launched in 2020, Sumus is a non-profit association promoting co-creation among citizens, associations, institutions, and businesses, for an inclusive and sustainable society in harmony with «the living beings» rooted in higher deeper awareness. This new paradigm will stem from the power and intelligence of nature and will be regenerative, environmentally sustainable, socially equitable, and economically viable.
Sumus is both a think and do-tank gathering the most relevant and prominent studies, innovative ideas, and concepts that promote «symbiotic life» at the international level to implement them in a number of fields (education, agriculture, food, nutrition, health, craftsmanship…) at the local level, in Venice
We believe Venice has always been a pilot city and can become a laboratory for a better future respectful of humans and the planet.
Sumus is above all a community of people of all ages, countries, and professions, apolitical, aware, and positive, who have decided to actively participate in their future. They have decided to care for themselves, others, animals, and nature. They are ready to leave their comfort zone to share, reflect, pool their means and talents, experiment, and set up new projects respectful of living beings. They learn from their own experiences with the purpose of continuously improving themselves.
The headquarters of Sumus are «La Fucina del Futuro». The latter will be the hub for thinkers and doers to meet and “cross-pollinate”. Empathy, optimism, and positivity will be encouraged.
